In a collaborative effort to enhance energy efficiency and reduce operational costs for industrial facilities in Ajman, H. E. Eng Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Muwaiji, Chairman of ACCI, and H. E. Eng Yousef Ahmed Al Ali, CEO of FEWA, held a joint meeting at FEWA headquarters in Ajman.

Highlighting the pivotal role of FEWA, H. E. Abdullah Al Muwaiji emphasized the significance of addressing energy consumption costs to facilitate expansion and sustainability for industrial units. Under the guidance of H. H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, the Ajman government aims to encourage the adoption of solar energy, aligning with Federal Decree-Law No. 17 of 2022.

The ACCI, with 1,415 industrial facilities under its umbrella, has actively promoted sustainable solutions for clean energy usage. The meeting discussed collaborative initiatives to positively impact operational costs, overcome challenges in adopting solar energy, and support the goals of sustainable development.

H. E. Yousef Al Ali expressed FEWA’s commitment to providing supportive solutions for the industrial sector and commended ACCI’s leadership in fostering cooperation between government entities and private establishments. The discussion delved into opportunities for innovative initiatives that align with UAE’s economic growth objectives.

The need for compiling lists of industrial facilities in Ajman, categorizing energy consumption rates, and launching initiatives for sustainability, particularly in the food and health security sector, was emphasized. The meeting concluded with a symbolic exchange of shields and souvenirs between H. E. Abdullah Al Muwaiji and H. E. Yousef Ahmed Al Ali.
