We stan a sustainable style moment – especially when it comes from one of our fave celebs. Whether it’s Addison Rae, Nicola Peltz-Beckham and Raye all championing eco-conscious Y2K brand Peachy Den, outfit-repeating queens Kate Middleton, Emma Watson and Emily Ratajkowski, or the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Dua Lipa and Bella Hadid opting to wear vintage looks on the red carpet. Yep, we love to see it.
And Sydney Sweeney is the latest star to assert her sustainable fashion credentials. Taking to Instagram, the Euphoria actress shared photos of herself modelling a triple denim ‘fit consisting of a plunging bra top, baggy low-rise jeans and an oversized jacket with black beaded embellishments.
But not just any denim, Syd revealed in her caption she was modelling Miu Miu’s new upcycled collection. The sustainable initiative was first launched by Miu Miu in 2020 with this fourth edition focusing specifically on the hard-wearing fabric.
With previous collections reworking vintage dresses from the ’30s to the ’80s, this line saw the brand source jeans globally dating from pre-2000. The fabric was re-fashioned and finished with signature Miu Miu embroideries and embellishments, like the black floral embroidery that decorates Sydney’s jacket that was inspired by ’50s haute couture and first seen in gold in the SS22 collection.
Sydney completed the ‘fit with black chunky-soled loafers on her feet and black sunglasses. Fans were quick to take to the comments section to praise her look, writing:

Sydney’s relationship with the Italian design house goes back a long way. She became an ambassador for the brand in May 2022 and has repeatedly chosen to wear the label at red carpet events since, most recently at the New York premiere of Anyone But You when she stunned in a see-through crystal dress.
Syd was also a fixture on the FROW at Miu Miu’s Paris Fashion Week show last October, wearing micro shorts so tiny they flashed her boxers before changing into a preppy mini and headband ensemble that screamed Blair Waldorf.
