UK pubcaster the BBC’s children’s channel CBBC has commissioned a sustainable fashion series fronted by presenter Emma Willis.

Style it Out will see nine fashion-loving kids from across the UK compete in a sustainability-focused styling contest, with the winner being given the chance to showcase their original creations at London Fashion Week.

The contestants will use pre-loved clothes, vintage, second-hand and rescued materials to upcycle and embellish their outfits, as they challenge fashion norms and stereotypes. Each week they will be challenged to create outfits for various people and themes.

Beginning next Wednesday, the 11×30’ series will air three episodes on CBBC per week until early February and will be available for streaming on BBC iPlayer. Lion Television Scotland is the production company, with the prodco’s head Liza Hazlehurst and Fiona Piper exec producing. Sarah Clarke is series producer.
