Approximately 350 attendees gathered at the Hamburg Logistics Days.

During the 21st Hamburg Logistics Days, approximately 350 attendees from the international logistics sector gathered on February 28 and 29 aboard museum ship CAP SAN DIEGO. The general mood has improved following last year’s negative scenario with the Ukraine war and high inflation leading to consumer restraint, thanks to a strong start to 2024. Several topics were discussed in the expert presentations, facing significant challenges across all areas such as the shortage of truck drivers (up to 100,000 drivers) and the challenge of filling positions with Generation Z. once again collected some impressions and exhibitor feedback from this year’s event.

Sustainable transport packaging
Johannes Wieder from Mosca reflects on a very successful event. “For us, the Logistics Days were an excellent platform to inform visitors about the current status in terms of strapping & stretch wrapping of load units. We find that sustainable transport packaging is an important issue in the logistics industry. Whether the desired sustainable packaging is also sufficiently stable for transport can be tested in our TechCenter.”

“We (EPS and LPR) were pleased to participate again as exhibitors at this event and to have good discussions in the area of sustainable packaging solutions,” says Marian Polomski from Euro Pool Systems upon request. “The interesting trend topics of the presentations certainly contributed to rethinking perspectives, which was further deepened by the subsequent evening event. As logistics providers, we naturally have a ‘dual function’ between fruit and vegetable experts and logistics professionals. We see our contacts from the German retail sector in the logistics division. Therefore, the event is of great importance to us, and we are already looking forward to participating in the 22nd Hamburg Logistics Days.”
